As a traveling salesman, Axel Olson ate his way through the United States bringing back stories of diners, roadside BBQ joints and business dinners that led to late night conversations with his wife Madeleine Byrne (Maiden name) who was already taking classes as one of the first women admitted to the Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in New York. Axel’s attraction to the grill and smoker and Madeleine’s culinary expertise gave birth to boxes of recipes and family memories that have been handed down generation after generation and lives on today with Axel & Byrne BBQ; which is the culmination of honest ingredients, time tested techniques and bold flavors from across the country.​
